The data taken from the student respondents were carefully

examined and scrutinized by the researchers. The careful distribution of the


survey questionnaires were managed by the researchers. The researchers used
the Likert Scale with a 3 point rating scale as follows: (3) Yes (Y), (2)
Sometimes (S) and (1) No (N). The final form of the survey questionnaires for
the student respondents are consist of personal information with a 35 items as
indicators under the factors that mostly affects student's academic
performance as rated by themselves.
The study undertaken focuses mainly on the three factors that affect
student's academic performance. These factors, however, are divided into
categories. These categories are known to be the most common problem
encountered by a student in his /her studies. The first factor was the Socioeconomic Factor. The researcher divided this factor into four categories
namely: Number in the Family, Family Income, Support, and Technology.
Along these categories correspond three indicators to be answered by
the student respondents. Unlike the first factor, Psychological Factor was
divided into five categories. These Categories are: Attitude towards School,
Attendance in School, Time Allocation and Study Habits, Quality of Teachers,
and Quality of Classmates and Friends. While, the Environmental Factor was
divided into three categories which are Health Condition, Home Environment,
and Learning Environment.
