Vision

First Meeting

MTLD Vision: This PLC is for CMs who are interested in moving their
students to interested / hard-working or passionate / urgent by the end of
the school year. In order to do so, well work on the following:

Pre-work: Bring students and family artifacts that show the


state of your classroom culture (interview, student work,
observation video, surveys).

Students can name the mission that matters deeply to them

Students drive high levels of engagement and effort

They know and trust peers and teacher because they feel safe
and cared for by others

Strong sense of identity and feel responsible for it

Have a high critique of the social system / embody transformative


resistance

Students building habits towards enduring success

Families are advocates and equipped to support their kids


through their educational trajectory

Families feel that they are in partnerships

culturally diverse backgrounds, 100% of students have benefitted
from CRP
MTLD Vision: This PLC is for CMs who are interested in developing
stronger relationships with students, families, colleagues, and
communities. Learning about students is the foundation to being
culturally responsive, so if youre interested in learning more to enact
more CRT, this is a great PLC!
In order to do so, well work on the following:
-

Predicting the state of relationships (surveys)

Diagnosing the state of our relationships

Building in systems of communication with students and families


(newsletters, family nights, potlucks, technology systems, etc.)

Building skill in building relationships with students, families,


colleagues, and communities in one-on-one settings:
conferences, home visit, relational meetings, etc.

Pre-work: Bring students and family artifacts that show the


state of your relationships (interview, notes, surveys,
student / family log). Bring artifacts from students and
families you have a weak, medium, and strong relationship
with.

MTLD Vision: This PLC is for CMs who are interested in developing a datadriven classroom not only for themselves, but also for students and
families! Building data-driven classrooms not only helps you and your
practice to hone in on student and teacher strengths and areas of growth,
but also a way to build student reflectiveness and advocacy, as well as
family engagement and partnership.
In order to do so, well work on the following:

Assessing the state of data in your classroom

Using student and familys goals to understand tracking and


pathways to opportunity and ultimately, work towards that in
partnership
