Product Data: Include full technical data on features, components, ratings, and performance for transformer specified. Include dimensioned plans, seetions, and clevation views. Show minimum clearances and installed devices and features, Submit Manafacturers' catalogues. B. Wiring Diagrams: Detail wiring. and ider connecting field-installed wiring. terminals for tap changing and C. Surface Treatment Inspection: At least the first lot of transformers of every contract will be inspected and tested for surface treatment of enclosure as per approved Surface Treatment Program. Materials and equipment shall be standard products of a manufacturer regularly engaged in the manufacturing of such products, The standard products shall have bbeen in satisfactory commercial or industrial use for $ years prior to bid openi The 5 year use shall include applications of equipment and materials under similar circumstances and of similar size. The 5 years experience shall be satisfactorily completed by a product that has been sold or is offered for sale on the commercial ‘market through advertisements, manufacturer’ catalogs, or brochures, |. Warranty: provide two years warranty forall equipment specified in this Section Factory Tests: Design fests (type tests) special fests and routine tests conform to referenced standards, Factory Tests Witnessing: Conduct routine tests, special tests and type tests on equipment for this Project for witnessing by Owner/Engineer. However, these special tests and type tests need not be repeated if the manufacturer submits satisfactory test reportscertificates, acceptable to Owner and Engineer, on tests ‘conducted previously on identical transformers The Transformers shall be designed to ensure satisfactory operation in indoor environment under site and system operating conditions as required by Electricity Wiring Regulations and other requirements, Source Limitations: Products shall be procured only from the manufacturer directly or authorized dealer. VERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING ‘Temporary Heating: For indoor, dry-type transformers, apply temporary heat according to manufacturer's written instructions within the enclosure of each ventilated-type unit throughout periods during which equipment is not energized and is not in a space that is continuously under normal control of temperature and humidity Transformers to be shipped to site with "shock-guard” indicators on them, which should be fixed on the transformers immediately on completion of testing at factory. Fon constauerion i Packing: Projet No.JE-0962 Volume 2612004 16 MEDIUM VOLTAGE TRANSORMERS 1, Each transformer shall be mounted on wooden pallets of minimum 150 mm hheight fastened to the skid at convenient places for shifting the transformer by using forklifts. Fastening of pallet to skid shall be easily detachable at the time Of installation of the equipment at site 2. The pallets shall be provided with, at least three legs (150 mm height) perpendicular to the skid of the transformer, two of them positioned conveniently near the ends and one at the center, in line with the center of gravity of the transformer, so that the transformer can be lifted properly balanced with a forklift. Two markings also shall be put on the palleterate to indicate where the fork is to be inserted for balanced lifting The base legs shall be strong enough (0 support the entire weight of the transformer without getting crushed or damaged. Design/drawing of the pallet shall be approved by Engineer. 3. ‘The transformer shall be covered with suitable transparent polythene sheets fused together with necessary desiccant inside before crating/casting, PROJECT CONDITIONS Environmental Limitations: Rate equipment for continuous operation under the following, unless otherwise indicated: 1. Ambient Temperature: 30 deg €. 2. Alfitude: Not exceeding 2000 m, 3. Relative hut ity: 100%, 4. Airborne humidity condition COORDINATION Coordinate layout and installation of transformers with other construction. Coordinate size and location of concrete or mounting bases. Alt transformers shall be suitable for normal operation at + 50°C ambient, 1 Core a. The core shall be constructed from laminations of cold rolled, grain oriented sheet ste! as a minimum requirement, b. HV Windings: 2 The high voltage winding shall be wound with copporconduetor material and quartz reinforced cast resin. The high voltage windings shall be interconnected by interconnection pieces with similar insulation or by ‘other approved method. b Ts shall be arranged at such positions on the H.V. Winding as will preserve, as far as possible, the electromagnetic balance of the transformer at all voltage ratios, but shall also be positioned with duc regard to the impulse voltages which may be impressed on the windings. ‘The low voltage windings: The low voltage windings shall be wound with copper conductor material, quartz reinforced cast resin and provided with appropriate terminals for direct connection to the cable box, C. Insulation and Eneapsulation: Humidity resistant, explosion and fire-resistant, self extinguishing, tropicalized, non hygroscopic, giving non-toxic gases in the event of fire D.
