First fleet

Dear parents, (Samuel and Elizabeth)

I have just arrived in Botany Bay through sickness
and starvation on the lady penrhyn. I have
survived many months without food and water. I
was sick on the ship as well, which was not good I
am very tired from that ship but I am ok.
I have just been sold off to a new family as a slave.
I do not like being a slave but I think I could
manage. I feel a lot of regret for what I have done,
I am sorry. I should not have stolen from Mr.
Cross, but I did and now I am here being a slave
for a rich family. We will keep in contact
