Moravian Colleges Art Department Biennial Faculty Show


Teachers illustrate their true passion for the craft
Bethlehem, PA 10 March 2014

Every spring members of The Art Department of Moravian College is displaying


their true passions for the arts through their Biennial Faculty Show. This springs
show will be displayed at the Payne Gallery located at 99 W. Church St.,
Bethlehem, Pa. on, Moravian Colleges Priscilla Payne Hurd Campus from March
13 through April 6, 2014.
The opening reception will be held Thursday, March 13 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Artist talks take place the following Monday, March 24, between 4 and 6:30 p.m.
The show will feature a mix of medias ranging from photography, graphic
design, watercolor painting and sculpture, explained Jan Ciganick,
Administrative Assistant in the Moravian College Art Department.
There is great diversity in the interests of the Moravian College Art Department
faculty.
Much of my work is rooted in psychology and philosophy and investigates such
concepts as identity, the psyche, symbolism, memory and dream analysis. The
images in this exhibition are a genesis for a new series titled, As the Crow Flies,
a title that refers to moving from one point to another without obstacles, says

Payne Gallery is open noon to 4 p.m. daily, except Mondays, major holidays and
college breaks.
