Questionnaire analysis

These charts show that the audience surveyed are predominantly male which is a stereotypical
depiction of the target audience for the rap magazine I will be creating. Therefore they will be the
primary target audience, and the charts also show that they audience listen to rap music very
frequently which will impact upon the magazine where it will feature a lot of content on songs
including previews and reviews by renowned artists.

These charts show that the majority of the audience are first year students so are predominantly
aged 16/17, which is suggesting the stereotypically young target audience of this genre and also
shows that my primary target audience will be young males aged 16-25. Also the charts show
that the audience prefer to see yellow as a predominant colour for a masthead and as a result by
masthead will be yellow which will include a manipulated yellow colour into gold resemblance to
connote bling another stereotypical connotation to rap with ties with the ideology of wanting to
be successful and rich.

These charts show that the audience show interest in reading content involving new artists
which supports my initiative of placing a new rap artists as an exclusive in my magazine to

These charts show that the audience would prefer an exclusive issue and this further supports my
intent to publish my new artists rising in the rap world as an exclusive which will further appeal to
my target audience and draw them in, as this is a frequent trait in the rap genre with new
successful artists often debuting on print platforms such as music magazines as exclusives. The
charts also show that alongside the theme of being excusive my audience would also prefer
content exclusively on an interview with an artists which will also as a result feature in my rap
magazine
