Context of the lesson
This lesson is the first lesson in MS PowerPoint. It is about inserting a SmartArt. Students have used the
program in grade 5 so, they will complete it by staring it with the SmartArt.
Teaching goal
The overall aim of the lesson is to teach the learners how to insert a SmartArt and edit it.
Learning objectives
By the end of the lesson. Students will be able to:
Insert a SmartArt
Adding text to the SmartArt
Changing the formatting of the SmartArt or edit it.
Assumptions about prior learning
The learners have use the program in grade 5 so, they have a knowledge of the basic tools of the program
and they know some of the terminologies also, they used Word program and they used SmartArt.
Anticipated problems and possible solutions
Some students will find difficulties to insert the SmartArt so, I need to make sure that everyone is paying
attention when I am explaining the lesson.
Students might make some noises so, I will use the bell to get their attention.
Students might be sleepy so, I need to make them active by using small games.
Personal focus for this lesson
Be more animated, monitor children more closely, sounds level.

Warming up: small game to find the tittle
1.
Engagement
5 mins
T will start the lesson by a small game to warm up the learners. In this
game teacher will give each group a puzzle and in this puzzle the
learners have to order the tittles letters depending on the colors after
they order the letters they will find the topic of the lesson.
Background: explaining the lesson

Building
The learners have a background of the smart art because they used it
knowledge
in MS Word program so it will be easy for them to use it.

In this stage T will ask students about the importance of SmartArt and
for what we use it.

together as group to solve the
puzzle.

Transformation

Ball game:
T will ask students one by one to apply teachers instruction to add the
SmartArt. T will ask them about the differences of the SmartArt in both
PowerPoint and Word programs to differentiate between them.

Presentation

Worksheet:
T will ask students to back to their desks and open the program (MS
PowerPoint).T will give students a worksheet to add a SmartArt
individually and make sure that all students try it and know it.
