November 26, 2014 To the Residents of Pioneer Village: You have probably heard or noticed that there are some empty units in Pioneer Village. We have not been filing the suites because we are thinking about locating some health region staff in that space when we move to the new hospital in June or July next year. The staff affected will be community based staff who don’t necessarily work from the hospital One of several strategies would be to turn some of the units into offices for staff, Other strategies involve finding other office space to use. | want to reassure you that we do not plan to ask anyone to move out of Pioneer Village, We are looking into all of our options to see whether or not we need to locate any staff at Pioneer Village. The other issue that has been raised is filling requests to move from the bachelor suites to the one bedroom units, There are some renovations that need to be done in all of the vacant units so no movement can occur until that work is completed. | can’t say for sure wien we can get the work done.
