    Circuitoperation:
    Theheartofthecircuitisaconstantvolumecontrolamplifier.Allthesignalspickedupbythe
    microphoneareamplifiedataconstantlevelofabout1Voltpeaktopeak.Inthismannerverylow
    amplitudeaudiosignalsarehighlyamplifiedandhighamplitudeonesarelimited.Thisoperationis
    accomplishedbyQ3,modifyingthebiasofQ1(henceitsACgain)bymeansofR2.
    Anoteworthyfeatureofthiscircuitis1.5Vbatteryoperation.
    Typicalcurrentdrawing:7.5mA.
    Notes:
    Duetotheconstantvolumecontrol,someusersmayconsiderP1volumecontrolunnecessary.In
    mostcasesitcanbeomitted,connectingC6toC3.InthiscaseuseaSPSTsliderortoggleswitch
    asSW1.
    PleasenotethestereooutputJacksocket(J1)connections:onlythetwoinnerconnectionsareused,
    leavingopentheexternalone.Inthiswaythetwoearpiecesarewiredinseries,allowingmono
    operationandoptimumloadimpedancetoQ4(64Ohm).
    Usingsuitableminiaturecomponents,thiscircuitcanbeenclosedinaverysmallbox,providedby
    aclipandhangedonone'sclothesorslippedintoapocket.
