Chronic inflammation: Appendix.

The mucosa and submucosa of


appendix are atrophy. Proliferation of lymphoid follicle (yellow
arrow) and hyalinization of smooth muscle layer (black arrow).

Ulcer: gaster. Disruption of gastric mucosa and perform ulceration


(Circle).

Acute inflammation: appendix. This shows the wall of appendix with


the lumen at the left. The mucosa has been largely distroyed,
hemorrhage and oedema. Only few remnant of the glands remaining.

Specific inflammation: TBC. This shows a granulomatous tubercle


which consist of epitheloid cells, lymphocytes and multinucleated
giant cells Langhans type (arrow). There is necrotic caseous mass
in the center of granulomatous tubercle (circle).

Fatty degeneration: liver. Some of hepatocyte contain fat vacuole in the circle
area. Normal architecture of the liver tissue in the circle area is distructed
compared with liver tissue in the box area.

Hydropic degeneration: This shows large number of hydropic


chorionic villi and it arises in the placenta. The chorionic villi is
greatly expanded by edema fluid which show hydropic degeneration.

Hyperplasia & Hipertrophy prostate. The acini of the prostate are dilated and
proliferated (arrows).The stroma between acini is abundant.

Accumulation of uric acid. This show urid acid crystal which stained
brown colour between connective tissue.

Accumulation of Carbon (Anthracosis: lung). Carbon as exogenous


pigment was found as blacken pigmen in the tissue of the lung.

A deep purple stained mass in the arterial wall is calcium mass.

Cholesterol accumulation. This shows large numbers of small clefts


which contained cholesterol crystals (arrows).

Melanin deposition. Melanin has detected as brown pigmen in the


dermis.
