Certification is a three step process from Certificate of Eligibility
(CE) > Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS)

Connecticut

Please note that Connecticut does not have


reciprocity with other states, but out of state
teachers with at least 20 months of experience are
eligible for CT certification.

Bachelor's Required
Massachusetts offers a number of different certifications under
the "Special Education" umbrella. These include:
"Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities" (Certs for
PreK-8 and 5-12)
"Teacher of Students with Severe Disabilties (PreK-12)
"Teacher of the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing" (PreK-12)
"Teacher of the Visually Impaired" (PreK-12)
