COMMUNITY Learning centre

Extra-curriculars
WINTER 2015
The Community Learning Centre is excited to announce that their lunchtime and afterschool programming is back!!
We are delighted by the success of our Fall 2014 programs. Our Christmas Extravaganza on December 12th was a
huge success and proudly showcased the amazing talent and fun that went on in our CLC and by our students. We
had more students signed up for afterschool activities than ever before! Our lunchtime activities were bursting at the
seams!!! AND we had more parents animating activities for the CLC!!!!

Important Reminders

Each of our activities has a minimum and maximum number of students. We process the registrations in order
of receipt daily so please send in your forms as soon as possible. We will contact you ONLY if an activity is cancelled or full if your childs preferred activity is not available, we will offer you a second choice.

Please take note of the start date of your chosen activity, as well as the number of weeks each activity is offered, as their lengths vary.

While we post the schedules in many places in the school and provide lists for each homeroom class, you are
responsible to remind your children of their activity days each week. Please write your childs activity in their
agenda.

Please send a packed lunch (no cafeteria tickets or purchases) on days when your child has a lunch
activity to maximize learning time. Please send a snack if your child is in an afterschool activity.

If your child attends daycare, please make sure they go take their attendance first, before making their way to
their scheduled after-school activity.

If your child does not attend daycare, it is important that you pick up your child from an after-school activity on
time. Most activities end at 4:45 p.m. Please check when your childs activity ends. If you do not arrive on time,
your child will be brought down to daycare where you will be obliged to pay a service fee.

Before registering for an activity, ensure that there will be no conflict with your childs schedule.

We are very proud to be holding a variety of Music and Art Courses for adults during the day and afterschool hours. In
addition, our evening parent conferences will begin as of February. Our Life Long Learning (L3) Programs will be recommencing on March 9. Classes will range from Literature, Poetry, Music to Art and so much more!
We will also be increasing our Pre-K programs and bringing back our popular Babysitting Course, CPR/First Aid Course
and an exciting new Self-Defense Course. Plus the CLC will be offering tutoring to our students on Wednesdays at
lunch time.
More courses starting all the time!!! Check our Facebook page: Saint-Lambert CLC and our Website:
www.ssclc.weebly.com for more information!

The deadline for registration is FRIDAY, JANUARY 31, 2015.

Registration and Payment Instructions: To register your child for all Lunch and After School Activities, please complete

Please make cheques payable to St. Lambert Elementary dated no later than Friday, January 31, 2015. Cheques will only be deposited
after activities start. Each of our activities has a minimum and maximum number of students. We process the registrations in order of
receipt daily and will ONLY contact you if an activity is cancelled or full. Please take note of the start date of your chosen activity, as
well as the number of weeks each activity is offered, as the dates and lengths vary. While we post the schedules in many places in the
school and provide lists for each homeroom class, you are responsible to remind your children of their activity days each week. Please
send a packed lunch (no cafeteria tickets or purchases) on days when your child has a lunch activity to maximize learning time and not
to disrupt the other students. THANK YOU.
