ABSTRACT

At the end of third year, Engineering students are required to take an industrial
attachment exercise at a place of relevance to their course. This report seeks to
give a summary of my attachment experience during the January February period
in the academic year 2013 2014 at GeoCon limited.
The main areas I gained experience during that time are:

Soil sampling and preparation

Materials testing
Concrete mix design
Concrete quality control
Analysis and interpretation of lab results
Site investigation

Thanks to the workplace environment and a little personal effort.The attachment

exercise was an overall success.
