RE:

Ashley Slaughter, letter of recommendation

I am writing to recommend Ashley Slaughter to you as a teacher in your school. I

have known Ashley for some time now, both as a student in my program as well as
a student in two of my Middle Level classes. She is a Middle Level Education
Studies major and has maintained, to date, a GPA of 3.52. I can assure you that it
has been a true privilege for me to know and to work with Ashley. Her energy and
desire to teach young adolescents is contagious. The school who manages to get
Ashley to be a part of the teaching staff will be lucky indeed. As a parent, I would
love to have Ashley as a teacher for my child. As a former middle school principal
and supervisor of curriculum, I can honestly say that I have met and worked with
hundreds of teachers. Given the opportunity, I would hire Ashley quickly. My
hesitation would be my loss and another schools advantage.

When you talk to Ashley, you pick up rather quickly that she loves teaching and
building character in young people. She has so much to share. She is a team
player and will always go that extra mile, especially when the students are
involved. I also admire her desire to continue her studies in order to teach ESOL.
I am impressed at her goal to help others learn English and to be successful.
If you are in need of a teacher in your school, Ashley is your obvious choice.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concern about her
as potential teacher. I will be sure to set you straight!
