1974
Punishable Acts
Physical injuries or other crimes committed as a
result or on the occasion of piracy
Rape, murder or homicide is committed as result
or on occasion of piracy
When offenders abandoned the victims without
means of saving themselves
When seizure is accomplished by firing upon or
boarding a vessel
Physical injuries or other crimes are committed
during
or
on
the
occasion
of
highway
robbery/brigandage
Kidnapping for ransom or extortion, or murder or
homicide, or rape is committed as a result or on
occasion of highway robbery/brigandage

Aiding of protecting pirates or highway


robbers/brigandage
By being accomplice such as giving perpetrators
information about the movement of police, acquires
or receives property taken by pirates or brigands or
derives benefit from them

Punishable Acts
Compelling a change in the course or destination of
an aircraft of Philippine registry
Seizing or usurping the control of it (aircraft of Phil
registry) while it is in flight
Compelling an aircraft of foreign registry to land in
the Philippine territory
Controlling, seizing, usurping the control thereof
while it is within said territory
Firing upon the pilot, member of the crew or
passenger of the aircraft
Exploding or attempting to explode any bomb or
explosive to destroy the aircraft
Whenever crime is accompanied by murder,
homicide, serious physical injuries or rape
Shipping, loading, carrying in any passenger aircraft
operating as public utility within the Philippines ,
explosive, corrosive or poisonous substance or
material
Any death, injury to persons or damage to property
resulting from violation of Sections 3 and 4
