Abstract

To get desirable water quality therefore brine heater

temperature need to be locked after that stable regular. It can be
done if steam flow runaway speed that turns in at brine heater
can be restrained. On the job training will be determined using
the method of system stability of Routh Hurwitz and whose results
can be used as a reference for tuning PID using Ziegler - Nichols
method. Based on Routh Hurwitz analysis obtained the result that
temperature control system will be stable with the value range
-1,47 < Kc < 78,743. After dine tuning PID using Ziegler Nichols and simulated by matlab simulink software acquired the
most stable at response control type P with settling time 16 s with
maximum overshoot 46.7%. But with the value of overshoot
46.7% can be concluded that the PID tuning with methods
Ziegler - Nichols less precise when applied in a brine heater
temperature control.
