Greetings,
I am writing to recommend Ashley Slaughter for a teaching position with the Florida Department
of Education. As a member of the Delaware House of Representatives who has discussed
educational issues with Ashley and personally as someone who has known Ashley her entire life,
I can attest Ashley would be an invaluable asset to the education department if hired for a
teaching position.
Ashley has proven herself as a highly-motivated and dedicated employee during her time spent
with Tender Loving Kare, a daycare facility in Smyrna, DE. Her Bachelors of Science in
Education from Wilmington University as well as her extracurricular time spent with Future
Educators of America would ease her transition into the role of a teacher. She possesses an
excellent work ethic, is independent and resourceful, and is quickly able to familiarize herself
with new responsibilities. This unique skill set paired with training in CPR, First Aid, Heimlich
maneuver and Defibrillator equipment would further enhance her effectiveness in this position.
Ashley is experienced in developing and implementing lesson plans, and is an excellent
communicator.
It is for these reasons that I highly recommend Ashley for a teacher position with the Florida
Department of Education; if hired, I am confident she will prove to be the perfect fit for this role.
