‘On Wednesday, 3/16/15 at 2:30 PM, City of Longmont Emergency Communications received a 911 call from 1620 Green
Place, City of Longmont, County of Boulder, State of Colorado. A female named ‘later identified as
‘DOB: 17/3/1988) called and stated she was seven months pregnant and niga been stabbed in the stumnacn. She
| stated-she-was-located ie-the basement of the-residen
Longmont police officers arrived at 1630 Green Place and noted it was a split level home. They walked down into the
basement area and noted a large amount of blood on the floor and what appeared to be a tral of blood leading from the
northeast bedroom into a utility room. Continuing into the bedroom, officers found Ivina on a bed with a large
‘amount of biocd on her and around her on the bed On the floor and just under the bed was lying on, officers
noted a small knife with a three inch blade. ‘was in and out of consciousness and could barely speak. Officers
asked who stabbed her. | responded, "I only know her as D." Officers were concerned for life
as she went in and out of consciousness, they tried to keep her talkina by asking her questions, One of the questions
asked of was, what she was doing at 1620 Green Place. answered she was responding to this address
in response to a Craigslist ad for baby clothes. Officers looked at cell phone and found a text from "Dynef"
giving “the address of 1620 Green Place. Dynel was later identified as Dynel Lane (Dynel), DOB: 5/2/1982
senta text to Dynel stating she arrived at 11:51 AM today (3/18/15) ‘was transported to Longmont
United Hospital (LUH) at that point. She was unable to answer any further questions due to her injuries.
Officers remaining at 1620 Green Place observed blood leading into the utility room and then to a washing machine.
Looking in the washing machine, it appeared several bloody towels were still in the washing machine in the middle of a
wash cycle. Blood was also noted tracked from the basement to the upstairs bathroom. Also in plain view on the kitchen
counter was a bill from LUH addressed to Dynel Lane. Officers surmised Dynel was the female, referred to as
DO"
‘While officers were still on-scene, a resident of the home arrived. He identified himself as David Ridley (David), DOB:
6/26/1979. He stated he and his wife, Dynel, lve at this address (1620 Green Place) with Dynel's two teenaged
daughters. David stated he left work early today and arrived at his residence at about 2:15 PM. He planned on taking
Dynel to a prenatal checkup appointment. He arrived home and walked down the stairs toward the basement. As he did
‘80, Dynel walked around the comer covered in blood. She told David she just miscarried and the baby was in the bathtub
Upstairs. David ran upstairs to the bathroom and found a small baby lying in the bathtub. He rubbed the baby slightly
then rolled it over to hear and see it take a gasping breath. David wrapped the baby in a towel and ran back downstairs
He told Dynel to get ready to go to the hospital. As Dynel and David went to David's car (silver, 2008, Ford Taurus,
Colorado number plate 013ZLT), Dynel grabbed Davia's cell phone from his truck (blue, 1986, Ford F150, Colorado
number plate 7847GW) saying she was going to call 911. David heard Dynel talking to someone on the phone he
assumed was City of Longmont Emergency Communications. Dynel then placed the phone back into this truck. They
both traveled to LUH in the silver Taurus. When they arrived at LUH, David escorted Dynel into the Emergency Room
holding the baby. He then left LUH to retum home to pick up his step daughters arriving home from school.

Both were brought into the City of Longmont Safety and Justice Center for an interview. During these interviews,
stared Dynel showed herand, an ultrasound photo of a baby boy in December 2014. Dynel stated this was a
photo of the baby she was pregnant with ‘saw Dynel place this photo in a box with other photos. added the
box is somewhere inside the residence at 1620 Green Place but did not knaw its exact location. added that she
‘could not tell Dynel was pregnant and was very petit.
also stated to Officer Wheeler there was a green, Windows smart phone located in bed or window sill
which contains photos of Dynel appearing to be pregnant,
Both of David's vehicles are parked in front of 1620 Green Place. The sliver, Ford Taurus had a large amount of blood in
itwhich was observable from the outside by Officer Piotrowski. Officer Piotrowski also saw David's cell phone stil located
‘on the seat of the blue, Ford F150.

Your affiant received a telephone call from Detective McManus who had just spoken with the emergency room surgeon at
LUH, Doctor Nelson. Doctor Nelson examined the incision on ‘abdomen and observed it appeared to be well
formed. Doctor Nelson stated the person who did the incision would have to have researched the subject of Cesarean
Births in books or on-line to achieve the level of accuracy.
While at LUH, Detective Stacey Graham had been with Dynel. Detective Graham saw no visual signs of vaginal bleeding
coming from Dynel or any signs of having recently glven birth, Dynel refused LUH staff to examine her vaginally
Detective Graham observed cuts on Dynet's hands. Oynel admitted to Detective Stacey Graham that she cut
abdomen open to remove baby. LUH staff said the baby was approximately 7 months old and would have
been viable.
Officer Wheeler and Detective Graham transported Dynel to MCR on a search warrant of her body. After the search
warrant is complete, Dynel will be direct transported to Boulder Community Hospital
