Del Mar Middle School 105 Avenida Miraflores Tiburon, CA 94920 January 7, 2015 The Wildcat Sanctuary PO Box 314 Sandstone, MN 55072 Dear Education/Outreach Director: My name is James Humphreys. Im an 8th grade student at Del Mar Middle School in Tiburon, California. In doing research on charities regarding the protection of animals, I came across your organization and how you have a sanctuary for animals with poorly suited homes (or no homes at all) and give them a new life, protecting them all while making a simulated wild environment. You create a perfect faux-wilderness to prevent the cats from feeling contained, all the while keeping them safe, happy, and healthy. Id also like to make a suggestion on how you can further increase the potency of your actions. I think the work you do is a great way to impact the world, and commend you on your efforts to protect the wildcats of the world. You have given countless animals a second chance at living a fulfilling life. Due to your efforts, countless cats have had the chance at a rewarding life despite their previously poor circumstances and thin numbers. Through your work, youve helped combat dropping population numbers of these cats and helped their numbers rebound. Although other organizations partake in the same line of charity work, after researching, I believe that yours is the best at what you do. Theres only one suggestion I have for you: maybe you could expand your sanctuary to become even larger, and house even more endangered wildcats? Expansion could only bring more good. Imagine if your sanctuary housed twice as many cats as it does now? The impact you have on the world would grow and more lives of endangered cats would be saved. I want to help you with your goal, and to do so I will educate others on the issue and what we can do to prevent it, and follow the same example for myself. As a whole, your organization is well run, built off a great cause, and brings a lot of good into the world. I honestly believe that your organization could grow even further, as there is limitless compassion for animals engrained in the human spirit and therefore you have countless people that want to help your cause. All I ask of you is to continue what youre doing and to consider branching out your sanctuary even further. Thank you very much for reading and for your time. Sincerely,
