MimioVote is very user friendly you can use this technical device with
all age groups it is so easy to use only the appropriate button will light up to
answer the following question. MimioVote will give your students immediate
feedback on their tests and quizzes it will collect and analyze your students
data. MimioVote provides a 100% of participation from your students while
keep track of their progress. It then will immediately take the results of the
tests and quizzes and record those results into the gradebook each device is
number and you can pass it out to the assigned students and I will be using
this device as a formative assessment. Your students will enjoy using
MimioVote because it kind of remind you of a video game. Your students can
hold this system with one or either hands or they can lay it down on their
desks. MimioVote is a great resource to use in your class and with your
students because this technology device will shave off hours of your reading
and grading. By using MimioVote will help enable me to adjust instruction on
the spot by led and the students self-paced, quick vote rationale for using
MimioVote assessment in the class.

Introduction

In this paper I will tell you why its important to utilize software to support
assessment in the classroom because as the educator its your duty to
pinpoint where your students learning ability strengths and weakness are in
your lessons. By using technology to help with the assessments portion of
teaching at the end of the year that you are require to have will shorten the
time that teachers are spending to do their assessments of their students. All
of these assessment are share through information technologies database
which is consider as tools, software, hardware and network this will process
and manage the results of your students assessments. While using
technology to do your assessment it seem to make it a whole lot quicker.
Technology to Facilitate Ongoing Efforts to Assess Student Learning
Theres a lot of ways to use technology in the classroom like using it to
assess your students learning process. By using technology to allow your
students to take their tests and quizzes on the computer. Having them
complete any projects or essay related to the curriculum on the computer
will record what they enter and the teacher can see where the student is
having their lesson pan.
(Presentation) Microsoft PowerPoint
Your students can use this software tool to create a simply slide show
presentation with a brief concept and instructions that can be moving
throughout the presentation. The teacher can ask questions about the topic
that the students are doing the presentation on just to get a better
understanding of their topic. Using PowerPoint can make your assignments a

little more simplify and making organization easier for teachers. Power Point
Presentation is very versatility and flexibility it helps keep teachers on track.

(Excel) When using excel to assess learning the teacher can have
their gradebook on paper or electronically it will keep all of your students
information in a file in located in one place. Excel gradebook will add up the
students grades automatically which in turn would shave hours off of your
time of grading. This will help the teacher recognize and pinpoint where their
students falling short in the assignments.
(Word Processor) Word Processing can be used to any kind of
instruction or curriculum activities. Word Processing helps teachers prepare
and utilize their time more efficiently because they can modify items instead
of making a new one. It also allow students to share documents among your
peers and the teacher to do so as well. Being able to create materials that
you can collaborate, edit and share on different websites.
(Formative and Summative Assessments) Formative Assessment is used
to check the students progress which intern guides the instruction to their
next phase in help the teacher and students to consider the next thing that
they need to do to ensure their students success. Formative Assessment
must be made into a well thought out plan where it can be benedictional to
the needs of the students. Summative Assessment is use to provide
information to the teacher and students on the success of achieving the goal
of the assignment. This is also use to evaluate students performance at the

end of the assignment which means that they can get a high point value.
Technology can make the formative assessment process even easier and
provide tools for analyzing data quickly and painlessly (Jayme). When using
technology for summative assessment this will give the teacher quicker
result of the students understanding of the subject, tests and end of the
chapter quiz. Using software tools like PowerPoint Presentation, Words
Processor and Excel these software tool will help the teachers have a little
more insight on how to attack their students weakness and high light their
strengths.
(Pros and Cons of using Technology to Facilitate Assessment) Some
of the benefits of using technology to enhance students learning are that
they can keep the student engage in the lesson. Being able to get seedy
results from tests and quizzes having all of their students documents
located in one place. Also being able to communicate with their students and
parents. Some of the down falls of using technology to facilitate assessment
would be that it is costly and very timely to set up. If the student is having
complication with the device the teacher can help fix the problem but by
doing this will hold up the students learning process.

Why or why not?)
No teachers should not only use technology to assess learning ability
of their students. Theres others ways to evaluate your students to see if
they are retaining the information that you are teaching. As for an example

giving end of the chapter tests, doing a pop quiz, going over what youll just
discuss, and having them to answer any questions that you ask the class.
This will help your students to fill in the blanks if they miss something
important that you have said.
What is the importance of assessment technology in connection
with the ISTE standards?
Design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital
tools and resources to promote student learning and creativity. Develop
technology-enriched learning environments that enable all students to
pursue their individual curiosities and become active participants in setting
their own educational goals, managing their own learning, and assessing
their own progress.
Concluding Paragraph for Software to Support Assessment
In this paper I spoke on how technology can enhance and assess
learning for the teachers and students. Being a future educator I chose to
implement everything that I have learn in this class towards my lesson plans
and my students. Addressing any issues that may arise with my students
academic and their education goals. I will be able to complete all these
things by using software programs that would allow me to access all of their
data information on their tests, quiz and over all classroom performance.
