Economic ASEAN problem and solution

Common problems that ASEAN countries have confronted with economic are political problems ,
lower of export ,very high rate of trading tariff , undeveloped region ,currency different rate and
land lock country that cause lack of transportation this were major problem in AEC.Next year
ASEAN economic community (AEC) will come into effect all of member countries.AEC is supposed
to be a single market for all ten member states similar to EU market that make positive effect of
economic growth in Europe.Single market idea with cut off tariff barriers between member
countries are very good idea but some country like Laos are lack of physical infrastructure and it is
land lock country. On the other hand Singapore is well develop country according to companies
and revenue ranking when trading with country that have lower level of economic like Laos it may
effect Singapore by losing some benefit.
All of problems above happen very specific in different countries.The problem that stands out is
different in political system of each ASEAN nation: some of the members fully democratic while
other are not. For instance, undemocratic nation can cause lost confident of investors for example
Thailand after military leader step up last year it make GDP rate and investment rate of foreign
drop down a lot. In contrast EU market was successful because at least all the European Union
member states are democracies and the Union has a European Parliament, allowing for some
degree of public input into EU decisions. Trading tariff problem AEC have decision to cut it off for
ASEAN member to increase more trading between ASEAN countries.Tariff barriers might never get
accomplished in part since the regional economic agreement was not approved by referendum or
other public polling in member states.Singapore, simply never have been willing to make the most
painful tariff cuts because it will cause long term effect to Singapore economy.Developing and
undeveloped countries need to improve more quality of economic to make equalization between
ASEAN member and tariff problem will be possible. Land lock country like Laos may get problem
of trading and transportation , ASEAN need to invest more for high speed transportation between
country.
The most biggest problem to make this solution possible is money.ASEAN could make a
organization to take money from ASEAN member and use it as public to help solve economic
problems because different country have different problems we can not come with just one method
it can be work in some country but in other it wont . Some countries need a lot of money to
develop.Corruption will be realistic challenged that happen in this stage, organization need to show
balance sheet to all ASEAN member to avoid mistrust and can lead to huge problem in future.
Another problem is different amount of moneys usage that available , to avoid problem of
inequality that well develop country use money more than undeveloped country. The budget will be
10% from tax of ASEAN member countries. At first it may effect undeveloped and developing
country ,but for long term it will make impossible result in future.This solution would be nothing if
ASEAN member countries dont harmonise together, goal of AEC is to regional economic
integration by 2015. This solution is long term solution it need to take time more than a year to get
result.
