adding s or es to given verbs

Assessment: Students will write at least five


sentences to include both s and es words.

Lesson
Teacher will communicate the learning expectations to students and engage
them in the reading of the poem She Pushes Through The Bushes. The
plural verbs will be highlighted to draw emphasis to the es at the end of
each word. 7 mins.
-Teacher will engage students in discussion using examples of words to
establish why some of the words take es instead of a s. 8 mins.
- Teacher will project information from hand out with the rule and examples
of when to add s or es and discuss same with students. 5mins.
Teacher will distribute hand out with a mixture of words requiring s and
es to make them plural for students to complete. 15 mins.
