Clinical Immersion 202 Clinical Hours: Bon Secours St. Marys Hospital 6E Oncology Unit
Provided patient-centered care for up to 4 patients using the evidence-based practices and competencies
learned in my courses. Under the supervision of an RN, completed assessments, medication
administration, daily care, interdisciplinary rounding, discharge teaching, and psychosocial support for
acutely ill, surgical, and oncology patients.

Patient Care Tech Bon Secours St. Francis Medical Center; 4th Floor Medical-Surgery and Orthopedics,
2013-Present
Providing care for new admissions and post-surgical patients including vitals, ambulation, assistance
with ADLs, glucose monitoring, phlebotomy, and ECGs.
Teaching Assistant Bon Secours Family Center, St. Francis 2006-Present
Providing developmental care to children ranging from 6 weeks to 12 years.
Assisting Lead Teachers with activities and lesson plans, helping ease children through transition times,
and promoting a nurturing and playful environment .

Servant Leadership

College Ambassador, 2014-2015. Served as a servant leader by offering tours to prospective new
students and families, monthly meetings with Ambassadors and faculty, developed leadership skills
through Myers-Briggs Assessment, practice in public speaking, and collaborating with students and
faculty.
Student Government, 2011-2015. Events such as food drives, cards for troops overseas, and other
activities to foster a collaborative and interactive community among the students at BSMCON.
Teen Volunteer Program, Bon Secours Family Center, St. Francis, 2006-Present

Assisted teen volunteers by delegating appropriate tasks and helping them interact with children on
projects such as the Annual Lemonade Sale, promoting independence and development in a work
environment.
Center for High Blood Pressure, 2013. Created a poster display with information on Breast Cancer
Awareness, risk factors, and recommended screenings and health practices. Provided teaching and
discussion of topic to patients awaiting their appointments.
YMCA of Greater Richmond, 2012, 2014. Provided an age-apprpriate, mental health supportive,
mental-illness preventive activity for preschool-aged children. Provide developmentally appropriate
activity to promote healthy dental practices. Assist teaching staff with daily routine.
