UWRT 1103, Personal Literacy Project Reflection

Please provide a short response to each following question or statement.
1. How did you decided to divide up the contents of your project, the composition verses the visual? Why so? How is
your division important to me for consideration in grading/evaluating your project?
I chose to make the written portion of this project the educational part. I thought it would be easier to read about my
thoughts and what I have learned to gain the knowledge about my topic. My media piece is supposed to be fun and
interesting yet it incorporates interesting facts about social work as well. The reason I broke it up this way was because
this is how my brain works the best. Its important that you look at both of these when grading it as one piece, but yet my
medium is supposed to take on a fun interesting appeal.

2. What do you want me to consider as I review your medium choice? If nothing else, tell me about your risk taking.
For my medium I think you should consider that because Im not using a multimedia presentation that its becomes more
personal for me. I placed these pictures, which I thought were important to me, in a certain way that I thought would speak
loudly to the class as well as the general public. I also chose I medium that was not on the provided list, which can either
work really well or could backfire on me. I also provided this new idea for a medium to my group members.

3. Influence me further as to what to focus most upon during grading: what do you want weighed most in your favor as I
grade your project? Why?
When you grade my project I want you to weigh the part that speaks to you the most, more heavily. My project is two
totally different ideas placed together and I tried very hard to make them work together to compliment each other. My
essay lets you see what I have experienced so far in this practicum, but the medium gives you the fun and promotional
side of social work.

4. What would you like to change or to work on more, if you had the chance? Why so?
I would like to work my on my medium because I feel like I could make it more artistic if given the chance, but I am still
very proud of both pieces of my project.

5. Based upon what you have been assigned, verses what you have completed, what grade does your work justify?
Why?
I believe that my work deserves a B because I put a lot of thought and work into making it speak to people and to get
across all my points that I needed too. I tired a new medium and I think that speaks a lot to how thoughtful I was trying to
be with this project. I wanted my project to make people that and to change the way people act. I hope that you can see
what I was trying to accomplish.
