They are the ones who have a lower risk of malaria because they

Global Issue/Challenge
Describe the issue you are addressing in two sentences
Malaria is one of the most deadly diseases on the planet and it needs to be stopped. With
mosquito nets we can lower the risk because they don't need to worry about malaria
during the night-time.
Evidence of Issue/Challenge
In a brief, well-written paragraph, explain how this is a problem and convince audience why it needs
to be solved. This needs to include specific and compelling evidence.
Mosquito nets are a great tool to reduce malaria. They keep mosquitoes out at night and that
already reduces the risk by nearly 50% since almost half of your day is spent in bed. The
problem is however that mosquito nets are costly and many families cannot afford them. With
around 10$ you can buy a mosquito net for a family who is at risk of malaria. Nearly 50% of the
worlds population is at risk of this deadly disease, which is why it needs to be stopped.
Action plan
Describe your plan to address this issue/challenge in four sentences
Millions of people use social media pages and it is also a free way to get the issue out. It is
also free and easy to make a short PSA. We can make a video or PSA trying to get people to
donate by using these facts. If we raise enough money we can donate the money to buy
nets. Another part of our plan is to

Project Goals
Describe what you hope to accomplish with this plan
1. Make a social Media Page that can raise awareness and have people see it.
2. Make a quality PSA that depicts the issue and will encourage people to donate.
3. Get nets to families who are at risk
4. Educate People
5. Host a Bball game, nets for nets.
6. Find sponsors

Resources
What resources do you need to implement your plan? Describe what is necessary to take your plan
into action. This may include a few different kinds of support, including financial, human, material,
etc.
Computer, props(For PSA). We may need a little money for a few props however we shouldn't
need much. We shouldnt need more people than our group for the PSA. We also need to have a
facebook page so that we can post the PSA and keep updates on it.

Publicity
How do you plan to share your project and its impact with the broader community and draw
attention to your work?
Our teams main plan to spread the word is through social media. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram,
and many other social media outlets are great ways to get the word out to people all over the
country and maybe even all over the world. We believe social media is the best way to spread our
ideas because it only takes a few people to get started and then it will hopefully have a ripple
effect.
Sustainability
How will you sustain your solution? Describe how your Knowledge to Action plan can continue, even
if your team does not continue to be involved.
By creating a social media page about malaria we can not only spread awareness of malaria but
also inform people on taking precautions about the disease. If our team becomes uninvolved in
this at some point, the message will still be out there for everyone to see, thats the beauty of
social media.

Challenges
What are potential obstacles to your success? Outline any challenges that you may come across as
you put your plan into action. How do you plan to overcome these challenges?

Some potential obstacles to our success is that not everyone has social media and can see our
Facebook page and PSA. Especially the people who live in areas of the world where malaria is a
major problem (areas of poverty), who usually dont have as much access to electronics, internet,
and social media.
Evidence of Success/Evaluation
Describe how you will know that your project has been successful. How will you know that you are
making an impact on the problem you seek to address? How will you collect the information needed
to tell whether you have been successful?
We will know if our project has been successful, first by seeing how many people have looked at
our page and who is looking to donate. When we know that were making an impact would be
when we start to get the bed nets and deliver them to the people in need. In order to collect the
information needed to tell we should have something where we can write the names of the
people who donated and how much they donated. We can add up the amount of money in total
that we earned and that will tell us how successful we were in our project.
