There is hope

Are you tired of going to the eye doctor and getting a stronger prescription each time? Do
you ever wish that you could have your vision restored? Is it possible to improve your vision
naturally - without surgery? These are a few questions that I would ask myself quite often. I
started losing my eyesight around freshman year in High school and by my senior year I had to
wear glasses every day. People always told me that there is a way to cure your eyesight naturally
so I decided to research it for myself. I found some great answers and credible sources that Im
excited to share with everyone, with one being a book called Vision . I dont expect my audience
the readers of this paper to be just people who suffer with bad eyesight. I know that this topic
will be useful for everyone because being in college and studying a lot can really strain your
eyes. Ive learned some methods, while I was doing my research, that will help relax the eyes
and will help you have a healthier life overall. An example of that would be to do eye exercise
daily. Eye exercises release the tension in ones eyes and therefore can improve ones eyesight
drastically.
Some of these methods/ideas about eye exercises are demonstrated on a giant pair of
glasses that I made and I want which would be found in every every optometrist office to have a
pair. I know that when people go to the doctors office they have to wait in line for a while until
their doctor sees them, so I would like to place a giant pair of these glasses in each waiting room

so that while people wait for their the doctor they could read these glasses and get informed and
inspired. The giant glasses represent the eye vison, which is what my topic is mainly about. The
reason I chose to uses a giant pair of glasses is because people use glasses to see better; and since
theyre big, theres room for me to write inspiring quotes all over them which I found in my
research. It all ties in with the topic I researched about which is our vision. All over the glasses I
wrote some quotes that I found in my research.
Each quote that I wrote on the giant pair of glasses is is significant and meaningful
because behind each one there is a story. One of the stories is about a Ukrainian man I got to
interview named Alim. Alim is 65 years old and he had such bad eye vision that he couldnt see
up close without his glasses. He needed to depend on his prescribed glasses every day to read the
newspaper. I got the opportunity to interview a man named Alim who has improved his I chose
to talk to him because he improved his eyesight by doing regular eye exercises. He told me that
in 3 months I didnt need my glasses anymore. When he mentioned that I was filled with so
much hope! Alim said that he did eye exercises 2 times a day for 15 minutes each time and now
he doesnt need his prescribed glasses However, he Alim said that you have to be consistent and
dedicated if you want to see results faster. Its the same concept as going to the gym to lose
weight. You wont see a difference in your body if you just go to the gym once a week. Its the
same idea with exercising your eyes. If you do them daily you will see great improvements in
your vision.
While I was doing my research, I found a great book at the library namedabout vision.
As soon as I started reading that book, it grabbed my attention because it talks about the different
ways you could improve your eyesight. This book was written by two authors of which one of

them has a PhD. In this book the authors talk about there is a man who that describes how he
healed his eyesight naturally!. His name is Oki and he lives in Japan. Oki He mentioned how
whole-body training contributes to improving the vision (Rotte and Yamamoto, 26). This
surprised me a lot because I didnt think that there was a link between the two but apparently
there is because Oki has noticed how his vision improved once he started exercising his whole
body. He mentions that when you exercise your body, the blood circulates to your eyes as well
and it helps you relax your muscles.
This leads me to an important point that Oki points out which is the effectiveness of
relaxation. He wrote that relaxation is essential to the natural healing process. When you are
stressed out and tense, that can strain your eyes and worsen your vision. I can personally say that
I have noticed my vision get worse when Im under stressful situations such as having major
tests and projects at school. Oki believes that relaxation is key because he noticed that when he
had a hard time in school his vision got worse, but when he went home and did some yoga and
breathing exercises his vision improved. Overall, the more you relax your eyes, the better your
vision will become.
There are many eye exercises that I found online, in this book vision from the library,
and heard from Alim. I tried a few of them and one of my favorite exercises is to stretch my eye
muscles by looking up, down, side to side, and to each corner as far as my eyes could go for
about 10 seconds each. After I do this stretching exercise my eyes already feel more relaxed.
Also, you can do 10 eye circles to the right and to the left which releases the strain from the eyes.
This exercise is a little harder for me to do because it really makes my eye muscles work which
is something Im not quite used to yet. However, the most relaxing eye exercise is called

palming. Palming is when you rub your hands together to warm them up, then placing them on
your eyes, inhale deeply as you hold this position for a few minutes. Any closing of the eyes
relaxes them. (Rotte and Yamamoto, 40) By adding the energy from your palms to your eyes,
you bring circulation to them so therefore it takes away the strain. Also, the great thing about
doing these eye exercises is that when I do them before bed I fall asleep much easier. So if you
are the person that cant stop thinking at night and therefore cant sleep, stretch your eyes for
about 10 minutes before bed and you will sleep like an angel.
Doing my research I noticed a constant theme. Everyone that stayed consistent with the
eye exercises testified that they noticed a huge change in their vision. I want this to be an
encouragement for everyone because our health is in our hands. We can make it better if we just
try and set our minds to it. This summer, Im planning to start exercising my eyes and my whole
body more consistently. I want to take care of my health so that I can see better and feel more
energized and alive. I also want to clean my diet and eat more raw foods because that also
contributes to a healthier life and great vision. I will try to apply everything that I found in my
research. Reading about all these the people that have tried this really encouraged me because it
doesnt matter at what age you start. Your health can improve once you set your mind to it!
