Reflection Paper on Principles of The Christian Life 2

How much effort have I invested into learning the material of this class? I
think I gave a decent amount of effort into learning the material. If Im being
honest, probably there were times I could have given more. What have I
learned that I didnt know before? I learned a lot on 1 Cor. 11:2-16, and the
teaching of the headship. I think I have a much clearer understanding of an
explanation for that passage now. What did I have to unlearn in the process
of this class? Well, there wasnt really anything I had to unlearn but I did
learn that there was more to the passage 1 Cor. 11:2-16 then just a material
covering. What are the key benefits I have received from this class
intellectually, spiritually? I think this class has really helped me intellectually
to see how important it is to learn the Hebrew and the Greek, also not just to
take something to mean solely what it appears to mean. I think I benefited
spiritually from this class through the teachings of the headship and how
holiness shows our love for God and others. What changes have I made in
my life because of this class? I guess when I think about it the aspect of my
life that I changed most, besides my thinking, would be the type of music I
listen to. The Makujina sermons really helped me to see that it does matter
what music I listen to, and it will affect me spiritually.
The syllabus states four values I should have acquired on completion
of this class. The first is, I should feel a greater responsibility for the spiritual
well-being of fellow believers, even if you are not relationally close to them. I
think through the lectures and through some avents in my own life have

shown me how much our choices impact others, causing to feel more
responsible for fellow believers. The second value is, Be more conscious of
how loving God and loving others must guide our lifestyle choices. I think this
question goes right along with the first, and I feel that I have become more
conscious of loving God and others guides our lives. Have a greater
appreciation for the scriptural basis of the key lifestyle issues that are
covered this semester. I think this one especially I learned, because I realized
how important it is to not only know it yourself, but be able to scripturally
explain it to others. You should be motivated by your love for God to order all
aspects of your lifestyle so that it brings glory to His name. I can honestly
say that I had this motivation prior to taking this class, however my
motivation is stronger after taking it. On the second page of the syllabus the
skills objectives that are listed, were met completely, I think that if we
achieved the above values, its very likely that we would achieve the skills
objectives as well, which I feel I did.
