Original Modelled and

Textured in Maya
The original arms were modelled in
Maya using Nurbs cylinders and a
bend deformer to create the curved
pincer grip. However, I wasnt able to
get the movements I was after as the
arm lacked geometry and didnt have
a very professional feel about it.

Improvements made to
arms in Maya
The new arm was modelled using
polygon cylinders and were put
together using the Combine tool. This
arm was able to rig much more
satisfactorily as I could include the
pincer grip movement I needed as
well as shoulder, elbow, wrist and
finger joints.
