Newsource for national stories included in the show; edited local and regional news
stories from the Wires; wrote scripts for stories and readers, and lead-ins for
packages, VOs, VOSOTs; worked with anchors on their stories and inputting into the
rundown format; worked with the director in timing of the show and camera angles
Fall 2014 Corporate Media Production
o Learned about producing videos for a corporation (in this case, a department on
campus); created scripts, video shot sheets, Program Needs Analysis, and talent
release forms for the assignment; set up interviews and placement of interviews; led
group meetings to discuss progress and process of conducting our assignment; shot
video sequences with actors for the Department of Study Abroad; shot video
interviews with professors and students; collaborated with the director of Study
Abroad to discuss how the videos can further promote the department; edited videos
and audio; transferred video to mp4 format for editing

deejayed 3 hours (12pm to 3pm) worth of music and information for Hot 107.5 FM
Spring 2013 Video Post-Production
o Learned how to use Final Cut Pro for editing video clips; created a video using clips
received from around the area and music placed unto the video using iTunes and
Final Cut Pro; edited videos using resources such as the book for the course and the
Internet; watched movies with extreme editing styles; edited a previously aired news
story; created a video based off of a scene from a popular movie and edited it to
look like the actual scene (ours was from Twilight)
Spring 2013 Reporting for Electronic Media
o Used previously learned skills from Video Post-Production and News Writing to write
stories; tested over basic television and radio information for broadcasting; wrote
sample stories based on true stories in the news; created a news story package
based on an area within the Media Communications department; created a news
package about a person on campus that impacts students lives with group members
