This article gives information about autism and kids that get bullied. Autism
Spectrum Disorder is characterized by social impairment that makes it difficult for them
to realize that they are being teased or bullied. Experts believe that the best way for
schools to address bullying of the autistic kids is to examine the entire school
environment. Punishing the bullies alone does not teach the bullies anything. What the
bullies need to do is replace negative behavior with more positive. In 2012 the Archives
of Pediatrics & Adolescent found that 46 percent children with autism have been bullied,
compared with the 11 percent of children without autism. Autism students are most often
bullied in the general education classroom setting. Intervention should included the
bullies as well as the students being bullied.

autism. The parents with children with autism should be careful and consider the
schools environment. A positive school climate is important for the students social and
emotional well-being. They also should worry about their kids physical safety. Parents
struggle to find schools that can accommodate their children's academic and social
needs, but the result is that the schools that offer safety and positive energy for the
autistic kids learning and that positive energy with peers relationships. School staff,
teachers, and parents should all be involved in making the schools have a positive
