Throughout this portfolio you can see that my work was a progress from the rough draft

to the polished draft. All of the work I composed onto this file was the journey I went through
this course. Each project has a prompt and its own individual purpose for us to seek and
complete. Every material I worked on had its own different skills. For example for project one
and two it consisted of a driven thesis essay where an argument was present. As for the third
project it was more of free aspect where we can explore ourselves more as a writer and be
creative and detailed as possible.
In the English class 113B I did face challenges because I had a different professor last
semester for English 113A and he had his own way of teaching. This semester I have Professor
DeGraffenreid and she is a wonderful professor who actually takes time with her students and
makes the prompts clear. This class was not all over the place and we were given enough time to
do our rough drafts, final drafts, and our group projects. We also learned about the writing
process and how to construct a solid essay with many skills. This course helped me face my
weakness in writing which is starting an essay, I usually get stuck in the introduction. The
professor made sure we read the prompt correctly and analyzed it so then we can start
brainstorming and then compose an introduction.
As a student I believe English 113B opened up my eyes to see the beauty of university
writing. To reflect on my personal experiences, observations, readings, and much more in order
to write an amazing paper full with appeals and ideas. My portfolio is an example of how you
can put everything together as one and let the audience see the beauty of others people work. For
example when we did presentation in class we all got to see our peers work and we learned from
them and saw how they worked best. Now in my portfolio you are able to see my work and see
my strengths and weakness.

English 113B served its purpose into turning me into a better writer and continue
exploring the paths of english writing. I will now take all the skills I learned and continue using
them throughout my others classes. I can truly say my writing has made a progress from high
school to college. I will continue embracing my path towards university writing. Im so grateful
to of had this course because it strengthen my writing and me as a person as well. Also I am
thankful to my professor and my peers because I have learned through them what it means to
grow as a writer through other peoples experience.
