WORK EXPERIENCE
MARCH 2015 - PRESENT
The Saltire Foundation invests in Scotland's human potential to find, fuel and spark the next generation of Scottish business
leaders. I have been selected to work on a demanding project of real commercial significance with an exciting global
company, Jabil.
To be able to maintain myself, I have been working as a waitress for two years now.
JANUARY 2015 - PRESENT
Being a waitress at the Butchershop is a whole new level of waiting. Our awesome customers expect and deserve a
professional service, which is not always easy.
Working in a steakhouse required me to learn all the different cuts in order to be able to talk about them and sell
them to customers. This improved my communication and selling skills.
My multi-tasking skills, team-working skills and my ability of working under pressure were developed to a
whole new level due to the high expectations from us and the always busy restaurant.
9 SEPTEMBER 2014 JANUARY 2015

Working in different restaurants in Glasgow improved my understanding of different management styles and
requirements. Observing these differences I was able set apart examples that worth following and mistakes that I will
try to avoid doing in the future.
Working under pressure with my team made me realize the hardships of it and made me seek for possible
solutions.
Doing the stocking made me realize the importance of good supply chain management.
Answering to phone calls improved my speaking skills and made me be able to handle business calls in a
confident, professional manner.
Being on reception and helping out on the floor at the same time improved my multi-tasking skills and helped me
to understand the importance of good team-work.
Ensuring timely delivery made me aware of the importance of fast service and taught me how to work more time
efficiently.
I have participated in three different trainings on my workplace representing that even if studying is my priority I also
take seriously everything that I do in my free time.
Waiting on people taught me the importance of understanding customers needs and being empathic towards
them
I also started to value more if someone was polite and learnt the importance of diplomacy and etiquette.

OTHER ACTIVITIES:
Tourist Guidance: Before University I participated in a course for tourist guiding in English. It
helped me to be able to understand and apply the rules of etiquette, improve my communication
and my organization skills and helped me to understand the needs of customers from different age
groups.
Organizing Ski trips: I have organized two ski trips in a row and I have already started to
plan the third. Organizing ski trips requires serious research and reconciliations. Also, as both times
previously I organized it for at least ten people which means handling a great amount of money and
lots of responsibility. As I am an energetic organizer who loves to take care of every detail,
organizing the trips did not cause me any trouble so far.
