Improvement Goal

Program Emphasis

The data says students scored higher on formative assessments than they did with the same
curriculum last year. Rewriting and evaluating test questions to align with standards and the use of
technology by students in taking doing these assessments has increased scores.
The goal was successfully met.
Next year I will continue to make sure students have clear targets that are aligned with the standards
and continually evaluate the value of my assessments and what I actually want students to know.

Goal 1: Classroom-based Approaches to Learning for High Academic Achievement

Increase the number of K-12 students who improve their performance in areas of core academic learning through classroom
based efforts. These efforts will focus on:
Prevention of academic based problems
Intervention as problems are noted
Enhancing motivation in the classroom
Establishing the process for engaging all students through classroom instruction
Establishing the process for engaging all students through independent practice. (i.e. Homework)
