Participate positively in the school community in different ways. By making workshop, morning
assembly, reading stories, and attends extra classes with other teacher not only English teacher,
in year 4, semesters 1.
Objectives:
I chose this goal because I would like :
-
To make a good relationship between me and others teachers and students, and interact
with them (Berk, 2006).
To aware and improve students skills about some concept, such as Absent, Reading
story.
To applies the teacher role and responsibilities in different way, such as organizer,
collaborate, tutor and controller (Harmer, 2001).
Planning:
Before I will do the event I should to planning for it. I have to organize with teachers and choice
a good day and date, also telling the students before the event if they want them to attend it.
Reflection:
Considers the ethical and moral implications of their practice for the workshop, by making survey
to take the students opinion about what they have learn and what they didnt like on the
workshop.
Implementations Strategies
Workshop:
Me and my classmate in Umm Aldrda school did a workshop with our MST Ms. Fatima,
about How to do project most of the students face some difficulties to do a project as the
teacher asked them to do it, so Ms. Fatima decided to teach them and asked us to help her. We
did a workshop, students were active and answer the questions with the teacher, and the showed a
good understanding. Moreover, we used so ice breaker activities, to let students feeling more
relax and enjoy being on this workshop. We used some mentally activity and group work.
Morning assembly:
One day we did a morning assembly to the students, the assembly was about Absent,
the social workers tell us about the problems that the students suffer from it, and the most
common one is Absent, so we did a morning assembly and talking about the disadvantage
about not being on the school.
Before we did the morning assembly we did two competitions which are describing the
meaning of absent, and can deliver the idea of it to the students more easily. The first competition
was Write the best comment all students on the school can participate. The second competition
is drawing the best picture which is describing the meaning of absent. We also decorate a bulletin
board which is showing the students some advice to encourage them to attend the school.
When the students submit their comment and drawing, we were choice the best 3 comment
and the best 3 drawing, and in the morning assembly we honor these students, and gave them a
certificate and gift.
Storytelling:
Participate in the other school as well, such as we went to Zahrat Al mdaeen school, and we read
to the students different stories, school was making reading week, and they want some training
teacher to help them, so we volunteer to do that for them, we read story for students in the grade
4.
Story sac:
I also participate one more time in reading story for students in Zahrat Al mdaeen school, the
students were in the grade 4, we present the story sac for them, their teacher gave as one period,
and we did it as a workshop, each group have different activity than the other group, in the
begging I read the story for them, I showed them the puppet as well. Then we asked them to go
back to their site and give them the instruction for the activities.

These pictures are showing the posters that we designed in the corridor to explain our ideas
about absent, also we post students work who participate with us on the different competitions.
Survey:
After we finished doing our workshop, we asked the students to do a survey about their opinion
for the workshop.
