Component one:
Writing Cover Letter: To be honest, I did not know what cover letter is, when
the tutor talked about it, I realized that I am still not ready for working
experience, as I do not know how to write CV and cover letter, which they are
the first step in applying for a job! I did not know what the differences are
between CV and cover letter and why do we need cover letter when we already
have CV because they are both about us. From the course, I understood that the
CV has more details about our education, experiences and qualifications while
the cover letter is concise. Furthermore, the cover letter is mainly about
showing our interest in the job and the organization which are being applied to
and how do we fit in with our skills and previous similar experiences. Based on
that, writing a cover letter for BAPCO was a valued lesson at least for me
because it makes me understand the cover letter better and be able to write it
again for other interviews.
Interview: I loved this experience because it was like a real job interview with
all the feelings that visits me from preparing until the end. I already had an

interview before in an English course but it was not as useful as this one maybe
because the focus was on language not content. In addition, this interview was
like a preparation for the real future interviews as it focused on appearance, CV
and cover letter and the way of answering questions. Moreover, the interview
feedback will absolutely help me to avoid any mistakes I have made and to be
better in the future job interviews. For instance, when the interviewer asked to
talk about myself I was nervous so I think I did not answered the question well
and the information was not organized. To sum up, I enjoyed the whole
experience and I wish I can repeat it and maybe with harder questions to learn
more, it was very helpful, joyful and useful experience, which I am thankful for.
Component two:
Because it is my last course, it is critical to have an interview practice to help
me in the industry project next course. The interview was for BAPCO a
petroleum company and me as a logistics student I have knowledge about this
industry because it is related to my study. I have studied courses about oil and
gas like Transport Energy and about transporting flammable products like oil
and gas. It is directly connected to BAPCO as they export and transport
petroleum products. We had an event in Polytechnic where Schlumberger
Middle East Company visited us and it was an opportunity for us to
communicate with them and apply for a job or training program, Schlumberger
is in the same industry of PABCO. Furthermore, my skills that I have talked
about in the interview like communicating, group working and problem solving
skills are important for who wants to work in BAPCO or even any other
company. In addition, Being a hard worker girl and creative thinker relates me
somehow to big companies like BAPCO because I am able to use my creative
thinking in generating new ideas and applying them with my hard work to raise
the success of the company.

Conclusion:
I am pleased with what I have provided in the interview. However, there are
some points that I have to develop myself in, like being more confident from the
beginning and erasing any kind of stress or nervous feelings because when the
interviewer asked me to talk about myself, I was so nervous so I missed up. In
the future, I will try to be more organize when it comes to provide detailed
information about myself or anything else they will ask me. In addition, I
remember that in one of the questions, I talked too much even the interviewer
wanted to ask the next question but I was continuing. As a result, I will be more
careful about how much I talk so I do not talk too much or too little!
