Abstract : Co assistant doctor usually have to deal with many problems, either social

interaction or in the process of study to gain optimal academic outcomes. These problems
belong to the adaptation process that can influence the development of ones personality and
be a trigger to mental health disturbances. This study aimed to analyze and discuss the
influence of the MMPI test results to the test of competence in medical students at the
Medical Faculty University of Jember. The design of this study analytic correlation with the
case-control approach.. Sample of 30 respondents conducted by the method of blinding that
researchers do not know the identity of the data belonging to the subject of research for
maintaining the confidentiality.
Conclusion : (1) the MMPI (consisting of SQ and EQ) significantly affects the competency
test (UKDI) of 52.3%; (2) The partial SQ significant effect on the MMPI test; and (3) EQ
partially affect the competency test (UKDI)

Dokter muda biasanya diperhadapkan dengan masalah-masalah baik dalam interaksi sosial
maupun dalam tanggung jawab untuk memperoleh hasil akademis yang optimal. Masalahmasalah tersebut merupakan salah satu bagian dari proses penyesuaian yang dapat
memengaruhi pembentukan kepribadian bahkan bisa memicu timbulnya masalah kesehatan
mental jika mahasiswa tidak mampu beradaptasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis dan
membahas pengaruh antara hasil tes MMPI terhadap uji kompetensi pada mahasiswa
pendidikan dokter di fakultas kedokteran universitas jember. Rancangan penelitian ini yaitu
analitik korelasional dengan pendekatan case control. Sampel sebanyak 30 responden
dilakukan dengan metode blinding yaitu peneliti tidak mengetahui data identitas milik subyek
penelitian untuk menjaga aspek kerahasiaan. Kesimpulan : (1) MMPI (terdiri dari SQ dan
EQ) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap uji kompetensi (UKDI) sebesar 52,3%; (2) Secara
parsial SQ berpengaruh signifikan terhadap uji MMPI; dan (3) EQ secara parsial berpengaruh
terhadap uji kompetensi (UKDI)
