for the purpose of modernizing City government and achieving cost saving efficiencies, encouraging
sound financial planning and promoting financial transparency;
that, pursuant to Connecticut General Statute Sections 7-188 and 7-190, the
process of Charter Revision be initiated and a Charter Revision Commission be appointed.
HEREBY BE lT RESOLVED
1. Creation of permanent and secure savings accounts for Worker's Compensation Settlements,
Employee Retirement Accruals and Post Employment Benefits Program (GASB 5);
2. Elimination
of the position of City Treasurer and allocation of Treasurer's salary to the City's general
fund;
