Units of study will focus on building godly character through studying and following the
example of Christ and different Bible characters including:

Heritage Studies 5 Activity Manual
CONTENT
The Heritage 5 text provides a narrative of American history from the development of the
automobile in the late 180s through the inauguration of President Obama in 2009. Topics are
presented from a Biblical perspective and include the invention and influence of the
automobile and airplane, World War I, the Roaring Twenties, the Great Depression, World
War II, the Vietnam War, struggles over civil rights, the war on terror, Afghanistan and Iraq

wars, and immigration decisions. Students will explore these topics while applying critical
and all-encompassing themes of geography, American history, government, economics, world
history, and culture.

Develop good citizenship through the balanced use of history, geography, government,
economics, and cultural skills

Bible) to communicate His truth and love
o Cultivate a desire to honor God through spelling accuracy

Students will polish their cursive writing while practicing some creative writing.
Penmanship will be assessed for correct formation, uniform size and slant, boundaries,
observance of margins, and overall neatness.
