Comparative Study of Modality in English, Telugu and German

The main purpose of this paper is to briefly look at the types of modality by comparing the modal verbs
function across three different languages and its usage. While English and German derived from ProtoIndo Europeans West Germanic family, Telugu language has derived from Proto- Dravidians South
Central family. And even though English and German languages are from the same family, over the
years, there has been a considerable change in English languages development from Old English to the
present days Modern English. So, I would like to take this chance to express modality in 3 different
languages. The research material for this term paper will be collected from various Language tutorial
