Providing behaviour consultation, as part of a multidisciplinary team (Alberta


Education -PUF funding, FSCD funding), for children with disabilities under
the age of 6. Consultation is provided to staff and families, within home,
community and school settings. Cause & Effect is a play based therapy
program.
Position: Behaviour Strategist
Duties: -Provide functional behavioural assessment and develop specific
strategies intended to increase the childs behavioural independence
-Provide parent training sessions to develop family independence
-develop, write and review IPP and ISP objectives
-Write yearly treatment summaries
-Case management (e.g. independent scheduling, maintenance and
organization of documentation, hours tracking, invoicing, etc.)

January 2004-

Initially providing 1:1 therapy as a full time aide, from Jan 2004-Aug 2007.
Promoted to Psychology Team member in Sept 2007. Providing behaviour
consultation, as part of a multi-disciplinary team (FSCD Funding), for
children with autism. Providing multidisciplinary team coordination for
children and families. Consultation and training provided to staff, families
and other professionals within the home and community settings. Autism
Partnership is an ABA (Applied Behavioural Analysis) program.

Duties: -provide functional behavioural assessment and develop specific
strategies intended to increase behavioural independence
-provide parent training sessions to develop family independence
-develop, write and review ISP objectives (focused on child and
parental development)

-supervise and assist with program goal tracking and


implementation, behaviour plan development and implementation and data
analysis and summary
-Correspondence with FSCD in the Calgary and Edmonton regions
(MDT preparation, MDT attendance, contract liaison, coordination with social
workers, provide documentation requests, parent support when navigating
specialized services, interpretation and implementation of FSCD policy,
coordination of other professionals documentation within Autism Partnership
and FSCD (i.e. SLP, OT, Psychologist, etc.)
-Provide Program Coordination/Behaviour Consultation in regions of
Alberta outside of Calgary (i.e. Edmonton, Red Deer)
-Staff training and skill development
-Administration duties
-Workshop presentations
-Coordinate and lead multidisciplinary clinics with family and child
-Participate in monthly multidisciplinary case conferences and case
conference clinics
-Case management (e.g. independent scheduling, maintenance and
organization of documentation, hours tracking, invoicing, etc.)
