Awarded Technical Controller Marine at the culmination of an 11 Month
collaboration of Basic Electronics, Advanced Electronics, and Technical Controllers
Course. While deployed as a Technical Controller, cross-trained to Switching &
Wire, and Tactical Data Switching in support of OEF in the Southwest Region of
Afghanistan. While aboard Camp Pendleton, responsible and vital to the success
of numerous operations and exercises. To include Operation Steel Night 2010, as
part of the main support group for a multi-unit communications architecture. Earned
consistent commendations for devotion to duty with citations for excellence in
rapidly resolving critical communications situations, relating effectively with
continuously changing and diverse communications systems and equipment.
Fulfilled a range of duties for communications missions. Gained proficiencies and
experience in: Windows XP, Windows 7, Microsoft Excel, Adobe, Active Directory,
Acronis, Ghost, Cisco Switches & Routers, Cisco VOIP Phones, and HP Printers.
Selected for elite security details providing dignitary protection for visiting generals,
members of Congress and other high-ranking officials of various nations.
Participated in the evolution of the Mobile Modular Command & Control Vehicle
both on the ground and in the air to provide unclassified and classified voice and
data while on the move.
Held billet of a Senior Leader, as a junior Marine, to maintain accountability and
tracking, of the movement and placement of various communications equipment
with a value of over $24M, classified materials and manpower throughout the area
of operation.
