MATLAMAT / PURPOSE:
As part of the course in business research method, students are required to write a research
proposal. The purpose of writing this research proposal is to improve and enhance students
ability to:

write a complete research proposal with scientific research methodology;

understand basic scientific research methods and design of a business research;
apply the knowledge gained from the course.

ARAHAN / INSTRUCTIONS:
Students are required to write a research proposal during the course. As a rule of thumb, the
proposal of a research method course should be a minimum of about 10 pages and a
maximum of about 30 pages in length. However, the list of references and appendices of the
supporting material are not included in this page count. The proposal could have about twenty
or so references. The proposal should consist of, but not limited to, the followings sections:

research objectives,
justification for the research,
preliminary literature review and theoretical framework,
contribution and scope of the research,
limitations,
methodology,
research plan and timetable.
