This report study is made possible through the help and support from everyone, including
parents, teachers, family, friends, and in essence, all sentient beings. Especially, please allow me
to dedicate my acknowledgment of gratitude toward the following significant advisors and
contributors.
First and foremost, I would like to thank Dr. Jaswar Koto for his most advice, guidance,

Abstract

Liquefied natural gasses is made from natural gas, which is clean burning source of heat energy
with many applications, including as fuel for power generation, industrial and home heating, and
as a chemical feedstock. Liquefied natural gas is formed when natural gas is cooled by the
refrigeration process to temperatures of - 163 0 C, at atmospheric pressure, and the gas condenses
to a liquid. The LNG ship has becomes the most important ship that was uses to transport all the
gas. The LNG carrier has different design compare to other ship due to their functions. These
ships mostly have special tank or compartment to keep a liquid gas during sailing all over the
world. Besides that, the purpose of this study is to identify the process related to production of
LNG carrier which is different compare to other ship. Furthermore, these studies also provide
information about the design of containment system. Next, the detail about how the material
being selected and their testing process occur to gets a suitable material during construction of
the LNG carrier.
