The purpose of this paper is to analyse the first world war that takes place on

July in 1914. The main countries which have participated in the Great War
were: Germany, Britain, Austro Hungary, France, Belgica, Serbia and Russian
empire. During the war, sixty five men took up arms, ten million were killed in
battle, and twenty million were psychologically, emotionally, and physically
incapacitated. As the austrian troops decided to execute the serbian soldiers
they captured, serbia lost about a quarter of its pre-war population.

The film sustains that what it caused the outbreak of the great war, was the
assassination of the archduke Franz Ferdinand, heir to the austrian throne.
The person who committed the crime, was a serbian man, who fired two
shots killing the archduke and his wife. As a consequence to this episode,
Austria responded to the assassination by sending its troops to attack the
independent state of serbia. This situation, caused the participation of many
countries into the war,such as Britain, Russia and France, composing the
triple entente or allies, and Germany defending Austro Hungary composing
the triple alliance.

Soldiers Fought from all sorts of positions, air, sea, and land, striking at each
other with machine guns, heavy artillery, and chemical weapons. They died
by millions in brutal conditions. By the end of the war, the human being had
lived the most devastating experience in world history.
