Micrographic examination by replicas

CNIM suggests to carry out a micrographic examination by replicas on weak points and on
other area and compare the results.
Below the weak points:
- between the connection shell furnace / boiler and the first nozzle (1)
- near the connection between boiler and outlet gas chamber (2)

We select theses points because :
Point 1: We are going to weld the cone of the furnace shell so a micrographic examination by
replicas will confirm there is no weakness.
Point 2: We are going to design some modifications to reinforce this area so a micrographic
examination by replicas will confirm there is no weakness.

It would be interesting to compare the results obtained for theses points with a micrographic
examination by replicas of a third point located in an area without overstress.
