The federal stimulus awards given to Tri-County school districts include significant amounts of money which replaced funds
that were supposed to be paid by the state's general assistance program. The stimulus money that is beyond what school
districts would normally get was mostly in the areas of special education, nutrition services and Title 1 programs for
poor students.
