Pen and
Ink Drawing
The goal for this class is to create lines
with character, and ultimately making an
image with style. Landscape, architecture, still life or human figure will be the
subject matter explored. Abstract images will also be
included as options of inspiration. Two approaches
for mastering pen&ink drawing will be explored. We
will begin with pencil and trace them with pen/ink.
Next we will gradually be challenged to directly draw
with ink. Traditional and modern pen techniques will
be explored. www.mokhtarimage.com
Simply the best way to learn to draw . . . Betty Edwards book Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain will be the foundation for these classes
focusing on drawing as a perceptual skill. It is accessible and teachable to
all. Learn to see and draw using right brain techniques that really work.
Emphasis for this class will be on beginning portrait drawing. A supply list
will be provided on the first day of class.
