PERCEPTION OF TEACHERS ON THE USE OF COMPUTERS IN SCIENCE TEACHING:
BASIS FOR TECHNOLOGY TRAINING PROGRAM
PURPOSE OF THE STUDY:
The purpose of this study is to investigate the perceptions of Science teachers on the usage of
computers in teaching Science course in public elementary schools in the Division of Cavite.
RESEARCH QUESTIONS:
Sub-problem No. 1
What are the demographic characteristics of Science teachers in selected public
elementary schools in the Division of Cavite?
Sub-problem No. 2
What is the self-perceived technology self-efficacy of Science teachers in selected public
elementary schools in the Division of Cavite?
Sub-problem No. 3
What are the attitudes of Science teachers toward the use of computers in teaching
Science course?
Sub-problem No. 4
What are the perceptions of Science teachers on computer assisted education in Science
teaching?

Is there a significant relationship that exists between the self-perceived technology selfefficacy and the attitudes of Science teachers toward the use of computers in teaching

RESEARCH HYPOTHESES:
Hypothesis No. 1
There is no significant relationship that exists between the self-perceived technology selfefficacy and the attitudes of Science teachers toward the use of computers in teaching
Science course.
Hypothesis No. 2
There is no significant relationship that exists between the self-perceived technology selfefficacy and the perceptions of Science teachers on computer assisted education in
Science teaching.
RESEARCH LOCALE:
Ten randomly selected public elementary schools in the Division of Cavite
RESPONDENTS OF THE STUDY:
Respondents of the study will involve Science teachers in ten selected public elementary schools
in the Division of Cavite. As a sampling strategy, simple random sampling will be used.
TIME SCHEDULE: June to December 2015
