In 1931, started Mathon Paris history with the foundation of the workshop within the Palais Royal
n e i g h b o r h o o d , t h e m y t h i c b i r t h p l a c e o f t h e F r e n c h j e w e l l e r y. D u r i n g t h e y e a r s t h e w o r k s h o p h a s
developed an exceptionnal know-how and has produced many special orders for reknowned brands.

I n 1 9 7 6 , F r é d é r i c M a t h o n j o i n e d t h e c o m p a n y. I n t h e 9 0 s , h e l a u n c h e d t h e
Mathon Paris collection. In 1997, he became P r é s i d e n t o f t h e c o m p a n y.
Driven by his taste for arts and his passion for the precious stones, he is
s p e c i a l i s e d i n d e s i g n i n g t h e c o l l e c t i o n . Since 2005, he is President of
the French Union of Jewellery (BJOP).
