Year 10 Assessment Task The Rise of Hitler and Nazism

Adolf Hitler was one of the most feared men in history but he could
not have come to power on his own.
Part 1- KEY PLAYERS!
Your task is to investigate ONE of the following Individuals:
Heinrich Himmler
Joseph Goebbels
Hermann Goering
Ilse Koch
Your investigation must include the following aspects
1- Personal/Family History
2- Involvement in WWI
3- Their activities in 1930s
4- Relationship to Hitler
5- Involvement in WWII
6- What happened to them after the war
Part 1 will use the program SMORE, using this program you are to
set up a profile (Facebook page) for the individual of your choice.
Using this information you have gathered you are create a bio to put
on the smore profile www.smore.com
You must also include the following pictures:
-One of your Individual
-One of them in their personal life
-One of them With Hitler
- One of them in Uniform/performing their duties
-One of them prior to the War
-One of them during WWI (if possible)
- One of them in WWII
You must also include:
-An event that your Individual has attended

Part 3- HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE
Thinking about perspective and what happened in Germany in the
1930s imagine you are 80 and have been asked to reflect back to
that time by your grandchild about your time in the Hitler Youth
involvement.
You decide to write a letter to your grandchild to explain why you
were once part of an organization that is now considered evil by
most of the worlds population.
